Welcome to Bohol, the land with many treats!

Panglao/Bohol Islands

Located South of the Main Island of Bohol – 2 hours apart by ferry from Cebu to Bohol, you can find this beautiful beach with clear water (not as clear as in Gili but still better than most beaches). Unfortunately it was constantly raining during our time there so we could not enjoy the beach that much but still managed to tour the area as much as we could.

Although the place has become very touristy nowadays, we only stayed there a night as we decided to spend our time at a quieter island. However that did not stop us from enjoying a really nice Wine while the sun was setting and patiently waiting for a very busy next day.

Let the Tour Begin!

We decided to take a package tour that would allow us to enjoy the various landscapes and sightseeings that this place has to offer. The whole package for the three of us costs about 8,000 Pesos (inclusive of transport, driver and Ferry Terminal transfer). However you have to pay the ticket for the Attractions yourself, but it is completely fine because they do not cost a fortune at all!

The Blood Compact

Blood compact was a tribal ritual in the Philippines intended to seal a friendship, pact, or treaty, or to validate an agreement. The contracting parties would cut their wrists and pour their blood into a cup filled with liquid, such as wine, and drink the mixture.

A famous example of the blood compact was the 1565 Sandugo between Spanish explorer Miguel López de Legazpi and Datu Sikatuna, the chieftain of Bohol. (source: Wikipedia)
